Poppa* got out of P in June of 2012. I received a letter from Jess on 1-10-2013:

"Dear Bill

It's good to hear from You and thank you for the card. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. I hope this will be a good one. I wonder how you've been doing. How is it on Parole and the conditions of Parole. If you don't mind telling me, how are you coping with life out there? And I wish You good luck. I know God is with us and we can depend on him to get us through this life. He has been good to me. And I'm thankful. I got a pace maker on Sept 26, 2012 and I am doing fine. I am not working now. I don't know if I will again. I've been playing Ping Pong at rec and having fun. Walter (Partner 658) went home also. We have not heard from him. I hope he is doing well. Our table at Kairos is growing and we have great fellowship. We miss you all. Shorty is in Lubbock, TX.  says he is doing well. I would like to hear from you sometime. I am from Irving, TX. Small World, isn't it. Well, take care Bill.

Then, Poppa* heard from Jess again on 9-24-13:

"Dear Poppa*

I thank God for your humble spirit and heart that He has given You through Christ Jesus. Thank you also for this blessing of remembering our birthdays. Not many of us have anyone left in the World to acknowledge our good side of our lives. I praise the work you are doing for the Lord. I know He has blessed your life as he has mine. I've told the guys at the table about you and we pray always for you and your ministry. Tell your friends hi also. I'm sorry I don't even know your birthday. All is well here and we began a faith base dorm. It's the first on this unit and I'm grateful to be a part of it. It is going pretty well. I have a niece that is a missionary. She lives off Park Ln in Dallas. She is going to India and I think Taiwan in November. Her name is Jennifer. She is going to visit one of her best friends that gave up all her earthly belongings to go to India to be a missionary. Her name is Suzane. They both need prayer for protection and God's Grace for travel. It's good to hear from you and that all is good. I hope to hear from you again and sometime. Also I got a pace maker Sept 26/12 and so far so good. Since I've given it all to the Lord, he has really blessed my life. I will write again sometime soon.
