Every card and letter that Poppa* receives is a token of Love and Poppa* cherishes each and every one.
Poppa* knows how important it is for the men and women behind bars to receive communication from the outside World. Poppa* was in that same circumstance for 7 1/2 years. I know firsthand what it means to receive a card, a letter, a photo from someone out here. Even if they don't know the person personally, they value every tidbit sent to them. They will never forget that act of Love. I know that I haven't.....
The first card that Swan sent Poppa was for Christmas of 2012. It is one of those gorgeous hand-made cards that many offenders are famous for creating behind the wire. It is a "Pop Up" card and Poppa* will cherish it always......
Poppa* met Derek around 2008 or so. We were both in "O" wing at good old Club Neal in Amarillo, TX. Mr. Swan liked to be called "Swan". After Poppa* got back to Dallas, Poppa* and Swan reconnected in 2012...
