Poppa* met Vince back in 2013 while I was at the Dallas Transitional Center (The old Way Back House over on Stemmons Avenue.)
Poppa* left the Halfway House in December of 2013 when I got my first apartment over at the old Avon Building on Lemmon Avenue. God is GOOD!~~~
The first week that I was at my new apartment, I slipped on the ice and broke my femur bone in my left leg... Vince would come over and help me get around the neighborhood while I was still in the wheelchair. Thank You Vince!~~~ XOXOXO

We reached out to him again on 6-1-19 to let him know that he is Loved and that we had included him in our PenPal Section of TFF's Website.
This past year, Vincent has gone back into the system. I had not heard from him in awhile. Then, I reached out to him on 1-21-19. Vince's Birthday is on December 21st. Poppa* sent him a Birthday card and Christmas card to let him know that he is LOVED.
With Vince's letter, he included this beautiful poem. He had submitted it to participate in the Allred Unit Annual Poetry Contest for 2019.
It was not chosen as one of the top three entries. But, Poppa* was so impressed that I want to include it here on Partner 106's Home Page.
I think that the reason it touched a soft spot in my heart is because Vincent's words are the ESSENCE of TFF. Read it closely. Say a Prayer. And then hone in on his last words.... UPON THIS JOURNEY OF TIME WE'VE SET SAIL
HELPING OTHER PEOPLE EXCEL.
THAT is what THE FELONY FOUNDATION is all about. We are successful because we HELP OTHERS EXCEL. In Jesus's! NAME. Selah! God is GOOD!
A letter arrived from Vince dated 07-01-19.........

"Greetings 07-01-19
I decided to convey this message in the sincere hope of finding you doing well in health and in spirit. I been meaning to write you for some time. Call it Procrastination... I feel rather uncomfortable knowing my former associates and friends have found me back in prison. Online? Wow!
I was found by another associate online, in the Dallas County Jail....
I got picked up on a blue warrant for a technical violation of my parole. No dirty UA's, no misdemeanors or felonies......
But I am interested in a Female Pen-Pal. I was given a year set off till March 2020. I work in Adm. Seg. Kitchen every morning except Tuesdays. My off-day. I was volunteering to work @ night during breakfast (2 shifts), but I guess I got burned out... I completed a class in Cognitive Intervention and now I'm involved in a Faith Based 6 month class called: "Voyager" (Like Cognitive) (Every Tuesday for 2 hours) I signed up for college, but was denied. Upon my hopeful release next year, I very much need to go to Stevensons Transport for paid training for my CDL...
.......During my first year, I expect to invest my money to buy real estate to build a facility and design a transitional home. Due to my experience in prisons and halfway houses. Not to mention my exp. with the offenders. I'd like to build a successful facility......To house ex-offenders and prepare them for society and to close the doors to recidivism forever!
I believe and have faith in God that I can be successful at any endeavor I pursue............. This time around I've met men who have been here over 25 years or more. Men who've done more than their fare share of time. Men grown old and determined to get out some day and stay out. With a little bit of encouragement and a stepping stone in the right direction. Can lead to Success...
I have a Poem - I sent to our Unit Library and returned. My donation to You! (See his poem above.) (Thank You Vincent! ~~~ I am so Proud of You!)
I'm looking for a good Christian woman. PenPal.
God Bless!
